An existing farmhouse on a working farm required transformation into a family home with a full renovation of the existing spaces and the addition of a pavilion containing new living and kitchen areas. The addition engages with the site by being elevated above the existing levels of the house and incorporates a new entry to the homestead while taking in commanding northern and horizon views to the coast. Robust materials were utilised to reflect farm life and reduce maintenance including rammed concrete and standing seam steel cladding.
