A residence designed for an active family on a site with ocean views from an elevated position. The design approach was to have all entertaining spaces to the second storey to utilise the ocean views while allowing a unique aspect of a grand staircase to the street frontage as the entry to the home. The materials and design echo elements of typical beach houses while maintaining a contemporary design and considered functionality.
